Patricia Witzigmann was born in Berlin. After her dance and drama education in Berlin she decided to study English, Italian and Literature at the Free University Berlin.  She joined the show company of an American Choreographer from New York who created shows and entertainment for cruise ships. For many years the combination of shows and travelling gave her the experience to work as a cruise director worldwide on more that 20 international ships. Her interest in history and art led her to the idea of creating “Lecturetainment”, the combination of profound knowledge presented in an “easy-to-understand” and entertaining way. In 2007 her friend and work mate Ulrike Kappeler had the idea to found myseavent, a company for international ship's charters and events at sea.
