Do we understand Tchaikovsky’s music without his life and do we understand his life without his music? This combination of concert and the story of one of the most tremendous friendships in history will give you a close insight into the life of the great Russian composer. The friendship with the dowager Nadezhda von Meck who supported Peter for quite some years only made it possible for him to survive as a composer and artist. They exchanged more than 1200 letters, all of them tender, loving, intimate, distant and full of music. They were so close – yet they never met in person. A most amazing 'love story'! The songs of Peter Tchaikovsky will be interpreted by the famous Polish opera and concert tenor Piotr Tchaikovsky. The songs will be sung in Russian with subtitles.
